    Using a mixed-method systems analysis of an independent literary journal, we identified critical vulnerabilities in their manual workflows and external dependency chains. Our findings prove that in traditional, community-driven industries, IS innovation must focus on automating administrative friction to protect the human element, rather than replacing it.

  • Introducing ‘PillPal’ Development and Use of a Virtual Tutor for Pharmacology Courses

    This session explores the iterative development of departmental AI Virtual Tutors, detailing how challenges and poor user experience in a first pilot were overcome. By increasing resourcing and testing, the second launch achieved much greater success in both accuracy and student uptake.
