Cordelia Shan designs system that make information make sense…

Whether it is a publication finding its editorial structure, a press team downing in data, or an architecture firm that cannot see the story in its own work, or a AI Virtual Tutor that is looking for a more effective way to help student to learn, teachers to teach. I build the frameworks, flows, and visual logic that turn complexity into clarity. Information system design is my core discipline, and apply it everywhere the infromation lives.

My approach is human-centered: I don't just design for efficiency, I design for people. How does someone move through information? What do they need to understand, and when? What gets lost in translation, between departments, between cultures, between raw data and a finished report? I close those gaps.

Growing up between cultures, I became fluent in navigating languages and perspectives. I speak Chinese with my parents, Japanese with my Banchan, and English everywhere else. I read in Chinese and Japanese, fight and write in English, and listen to Japanese radio like it’s my personal therapy session.

A little everything else, I write and create as well.
